Kyan Braids is a hair salon in Bali, Indonesia, led by celebrity hairstylist Kyan. Kyan is from Flores, Indonesia, a region where afro hair is more common among the local population. From a young age, she developed a passion for caring for and styling afro hair, recognizing its uniqueness within the Indonesian context. A self-taught stylist, Kyan blends her deep passion for hair care with her unique creativity, which has led her to work with celebrity clients, models, and influential collaborators.
Beyond her artistry, Kyan is committed to giving back. She partners with local foundations to support and educate youth — especially in parts of Indonesia where children have afro hair — teaching them how to love, grow, and protect their natural hair.
With over 10 years of expertise in afro hair care, braids, locs, and protective styles, Kyan Braids is dedicated to promoting healthy hair growth while celebrating individuality and natural beauty. Her innovative designs and attention to detail make Kyan Braids more than a salon — it’s a space where hair care meets art, culture, and community.

Booking Rules
Thank you for choosing me as your stylist! To ensure a smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable experience, please review the following guidelines before your appointment:
Please arrive with clean, detangled, and dry hair.
If you require a wash and blow dry, it is available for an additional 150,000 IDR.
Come with your hair free of heavy oils, products, or styles that need to be taken down unless agreed upon in advance (extra fees may apply)
No shoes inside of the salon space.
Bring your own headphones if you’d like to listen to music, make phone calls, or use social media during your appointment.
Please bring your own charger and devices. The salon does not provide WiFi, and we encourage minimal technology use to create a peaceful, present environment.
Appointments may include short breaks for basic well-being (e.g., eating, stretching, restroom use).
Please be patient, especially with longer styles that require several hours.
A deposit is required to confirm your booking (non-refundable, but transferable once if rescheduled with sufficient notice). Deposits are to be made via online transfer before the scheduled appointment by Wise or Indonesian bank transfer.
Late arrivals of more than 20–25 minutes will result in cancelled appointment and deposit forfeited.
Please provide at least 24–48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.
No-call, no-shows will result in a forfeited deposit and may result in being unable to book future appointments.
Please no extra guests unless previously arranged (space is limited).
